Private Exam Centre offers private candidates the opportunity to complete the required GCSE Science practical sessions in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. These sessions are delivered in fully equipped secondary school laboratories across the London Borough of Newham, giving candidates access to the facilities and equipment needed to develop their practical skills with confidence.
Our experienced and qualified science tutors guide candidates through each required practical, demonstrating the correct use of laboratory equipment and explaining experimental techniques in a clear, supportive, and easy-to-follow way. Whether you're studying independently, homeschooled, or resitting your exams, these sessions are designed to help you gain the hands-on experience that's difficult to achieve outside a school laboratory.
To make the most of the laboratory facilities, sessions are held during the spring half-term when school laboratories are available. This provides a calm, distraction-free environment where candidates can focus on developing their practical skills using professional equipment.
Each practical session is delivered in small groups of up to five candidates per tutor, ensuring everyone receives individual attention and support. Candidates will have plenty of opportunity to become familiar with the laboratory, ask questions, and carry out experiments themselves under close supervision. Throughout the course, tutors provide constructive feedback, practical tips, and time-management advice to help candidates build confidence and perform effectively during their practical assessments.

candidates with a two day course per subject at the cost of £250.
These sessions will be detailed and provide a clear and thorough
understanding of practical assessments with the opportunity for candidates to individually
conduct practice assessments.
